1983 Mongoose Supergoose III [SOLD]

Here is my 1983 Chatsworth Supergoose III. The frame and forks have been stripped and rechromed by Doug Taylor. I believe the bars that came with the frame and forks are Pro Sized Team Mongoose. The Araya 7x rims have been re-anodised by Badger, and laced to a very nice set of NOS Jou Yo high flange hubs from Japan, then wrapped in minty, early 80s Cheng Shin Snake Belly skin wall 1.75 tyres. The build features a Tioga Bear Trap II headset, an early Shimano 16T freewheel, some very nice Shimano DX 9/16 pedals, an ACS Pro Class stem. The cranks are an early set of Sugino Mighty Competitions with their 44T chainring. I've used a YST Professional Bottom Bracket and an Izumi chain. The seat is an NOS Kashimax Aero fitted to a fluted alloy seat post and a Suntour clamp. I've also used some BMX products decals and grips and an NOS set of Mongoose pads. The splash of gold comes from Dia-Compe MX900 and MX1000 calipers and Tech 4 levers. The build was finished with a black Haro race plate. This bike won December Bike of the Month on Retro Goose, but alas, I split and sold this bike in Jan 2014 to build an '83 Skyway T/A.
